Working on my nonprofit orginization

Hey, everybody, it's your favorite host Zachery Ramos back on Traveling Activist. Sorry, I have been posting lately I have been working on creating a nonprofit organization called Traveling Library to help spread literacy throughout the world. Here are some images of what I have been working on lately.

This is an image of the general idea of how the cart will look.

These carts can hold over 100 books and, be easily maintained.
I started out with an old ice cream cart that was donated to me by a local business in my town called Pickers Paradise. This cart had three wheels, a handle on the back and, only three entry ways from the top. I got the cart Thursday and, finished the project on Sunday. The whole project was completed within only four days and, began working on Monday.

Here are some images of the work process that were taken during construction of the library.

Step 1 was cutting a square hole into the right side of the cart to create an entry way. Used a hand saw, circle saw and, a detachable table saw to cut into the side to take out the wall.

Here is an image of the workshop and, the cart on the table with all the tools around it. Step 1 took 6 hours to finish and, though it was hard at first I knew it would be worth it in the end.

Step 2 was working on the interior of the cart. I had created shelves to stack books on inside the cart by cutting a used wooden board and, old bookshelf holders to keep the board up. This step only took 5 hours to complete and, looked terrific when it was finally completed and, inserted in.

Step 3 was getting fiberglass to cut out the door to use as the entry way for the cart instead of the old top ones that were only closed by three metal handles.

Here is an image of me with the cart. Have to admit even though I had many late nights to make sure I finished the library on time I enjoyed every minute of it.

There it is finally completed and, ready to get great pieces of literature out to the world. Filled with kids books, books for the elderly and anyone in between.

Added a seat lock so that I can attach the cart to my bike making it easier to take around town.

Here are some images from its third trip around Gustine. The Traveling Library made some new duck friends while at the Duck Park. We have had over 1000 books donated to the Traveling Library and I have given out now near 400 books to the youth in my town.  I am currently working on making this into a nonprofit so that I can ship these Libraries all over the world to other countries that are in dire need of help in literacy and education.
Here is me with the cart at the Gustine High School. This is where the cart is when I need to fix or add something to it. If any of you would like to create your own Traveling Library contact me and, I will be happy to help you. Also here is a link to one of the three interviews I have already be in discussing the project.
