Good Evening everyone breaking news on Traveling Activist with your host Zachery Ramos. Just reported shooting causing multiple dead at FT Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Deputies confirmed the suspect is in custody.
Sky 10 was above the airport as passengers were standing on the tarmac outside Terminal 2. Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer posted on Twitter that shots have been fired. "Everyone is running," Fleischer said.
I'm at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Shots have been fired. Everyone is running.
Ari Fleischer was reported saying that police told him there was one suspect and five victims.
On the Ft. Lauderdale Airport twitter page they tweeted that there is an ongoing incident happening in terminal 2.
There is an ongoing incident in Terminal 2, Baggage Claim. Media availability is at the staging area.
Its reported a lone subject was the suspect of the shooting that took 3 lives and 9 injured

The airport says over 73,000 travelers pass through each day. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said agents were going to the scene to help state and local authorities.
A law enforcement expert said authorities will try to determine who the suspect is and whether there are other plots afoot. "You're trying to understand, is this a one-off guy? Regardless of motive, is he alone, or is there something else?" law enforcement expert Jim Cavanaugh. "We hate to think that way, but that's the requirement for police commanders — to think that way."
Fatal shootings at airports, where security is tight, are unusual. In November 2016, a disgruntled former employee opened fire at the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, killing a Southwest Airlines worker.
Now my question to you all Is how is it this man got passed through airport security with a weapon on his person and managed to kill an injure incident civilians. After 9/11 we have had extreme measures in act to make sure that this kind of situation does not take place. Does this mean that we need to boost security and have more at random picks of on body searches because this should not happen when we have thousands of laws and rules to keep us safe.
